The new EcoGreen F3EG hard drives from Samsung

Samsung today presented the new hard drives in the EcoGreen series, F3EG disks with 1.5 and 2TB capacity, which are sized 3.5-inch and have 5400 rpm per minute.
New "green" drives boast 40% less consumption in the idle mode, and 10% lower when reading and writing in relation to the competition. These drives are not only eco based, but produce very little noise thanks to SilentSeek and NoiseGuard technologies.
Plates in the disks are 500MB in size, with 16 or 32 MB cache memory, while the connection is done through the SATA 3.0 Gbps interface.
EcoGreen F3EG drive with 2TB is available is stores with a price aroung 130€, while the 1.5 TB model should soon arrive in stores.
