New cheap SSD drives from Intel?

Monday, 29 Jun 2009
tagovi: intel.micron ssd hdd

Rumor say that Intel has a new line of SSD drives, which will have an official presentation in two weeks.

One of the main advantages of the new line SSD drives should be the price, as well as the capacity up to 320 GB. The new SSD drives will be built from 34nm NAND chips, which are designed by Intel and Micron. These chips provide higher capacity SSD's, as well as a lower cost of production.

Thus a large capacity (320 GB) and the lower the price will most probably lead to the majority of notebooks owns SSD instead of HDD disks.
